ECMO in Adults Training Course for FREE from ELSO

ELSO, the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, is now doing free training course/modules/program on ECMO (extracorporeal membranous oxygenation), both VV and VA in this COVID-19 time. Take advantage! You need to register, of course. It has been over two years since I did ECMO and this is a good refresher course for me. Check it out for yourself! It’s free!

Also, I am working on a very thorough post on all things ECMO. Click on this link to get to that post.

Shout out to Jamie Zink @jamiezink77 for sharing this with me.
Here’s what’s included in the modules. Word on the street is that at some point they may actually begin to hand out certificates for this. At the moment, however, this is not the case.

Topics

In this review, they look at “physiology, circuitry and technical aspects, related pharmacology, and management of complications.”

Who is this program for?

Intensivists, emergency medicine docs, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, critical care and emergency nurses, CRNA’s, anyone taking care of ECMO patients. You could also join in on the fun if you are a medical student or someone simply interested in learning about ECMO. It is worth your while.

How long does this ECMO training course take to complete?

6 hours

How to Support My Work

I have written “The Vasopressor & Inotrope Handbook: A Practical Guide for Healthcare Professionals,” a must-read for those in the field! You have several options to get a copy while supporting my endeavors. If you’re in the US, you can order directly from me with a special touch: A SIGNED COPY. Please note that I handle these shipments personally, so I appreciate your patience.

For quicker delivery or international orders, I recommend purchasing through Amazon. It is also available for KINDLE. When you use these affiliate links, I earn an additional commission at no extra cost to you, which is a great way to support my work.

Stay tuned for the audiobook version, which will soon be available on Audible. It’s an exciting addition that I’m eager to share with you!
